—  About

Karl Troels Sandegård works with conceptual sculptures and architectural spheres.

Through an installationary and a conceptual idiom Sandegård examines the physical processes in our environment, including our physiological being and the preconditions for that. His works are an investigation of what matter consists of and the human existence as space and materiality. It is a search for resonance and coherence in the natural surroundings' material details; dust, sweat, microorganisms, moisture, concrete and minerals. In Sandegård's praxis the conceptual, the physical, the scientific and aesthetics all morph together - it is a hybrid thematic and schematic approach to our perception of physicality, dimensionality and temporality.

Troels Sandegård is a part of the artist duo The Institute of Bioinformation consisting of Sandegård and Ebbe Stub Wittrup.
